If you have been referred, please bring your referral letter. Any relevant scans can help such as X-rays, CT’s, MRI’s etc if you have them. It is also helpful if you bring shorts or tracksuit pants and your sport shoes. If you don’t have new shoes, don’t buy any as we may recommend a suitable replacement if necessary.
We do not bulk bill. If you have a referral from your GP, we have the facilities to claim the Medicare rebate for you at the time of your appointment. You will need to bring your Medicare card with you. Otherwise, we will provide you with a receipt of payment and if eligible you may take your receipt to Medicare for reimbursement.

Yes in at our Shortland clinic we have HICAPs enabling instant health fund rebates. This allows for on the spot claiming and saves you the hassle of having to go to your health fund for your rebate. If covered for podiatry, you will only have to pay the gap.
The answer is sometimes. You may be eligible if your GP has enrolled you in an Enhanced Primary Care program and has registered your details with Medicare. If this is the case they would have given you an EPC referral. On this program patients may be able to claim back a rebate for their podiatry consultation. Eligibility criteria is at your GP's discretion and is considered if you suffer from multiple chronic health conditions.
No you do not need a referral. However on occasions you may be referred by your GP, Specialist or Allied Health Professional.
